High Pointes Dance Academy offers highly qualified, certified teachers to provide you and your children with the highest level of training in all forms of dance. Our school is dedicated to providing positive attitude — guiding students mentally as well as physically. In our fun learning environment our students build self-esteem, character and confidence to carry with them in all aspects of their lives. Whether they are training for a professional career in dance or dancing just for fun, we will guide them in a positive and rewarding manner.

Brandy Harmer-Kelly
Brandy’s love for dance began at a very young age when her parents enrolled her in dance classes while living in Peterborough, Ontario. She studied many different dance disciplines including RAD Ballet, CDTA Jazz, CDTA Tap, Modern, Hip/Hop, and Lyrical. As well, she has an extensive knowledge in sports injury prevention, anatomy, physiology and kineseology after achieving her Diploma as a Registered Massage Therapist.

Alina Adjemian
After dancing for many years, Alina made a welcome and natural transition to choreography and teaching through the National Ballet School. She has been teaching for over fifteen years and has choreographed such shows as The Full Monty, Joseph, Best Little Whore House in Texas, Dames at Sea, Man of La Mancha, Godspell, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Cinderella and Camelot, for professional as well as community theatre.

Jane Taylor
Jane Taylor began dancing at the age of 7, studying the Cecchetti Ballet Method. She has performed in and choreographed for local school productions and has also taught the dance curriculum for several grades at Central Public school in Port Hope.

Melissa Thompson Schultz
Miss Melissa has been teaching dance professionally since 2005 in both Cobourg and the Whitby area. As a qualified Dance Instructor, and member of the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA), Melissa‘s access to the most recent dance syllabus’ ensure that her teaching methods remain current, vibrant and relevant to her various students.

Kareem Byfield
In dance and in life, Kareem Byfield tackles each obstacle he has faced with a positive attitude and tons of energy. With a dance career that spans over 18 years, Byfield has repeatedly managed to push the limits of dance through his choreography and exceptional teaching style. He founded the company, Grace ‘N Style, in order to provide his students with classes (presented by Dance with KB) and shows of the highest caliber (presented by the GNS Crew).

Andrea Anderson
Andrea Anderson began her training in Peterborough and went on to further her classical training at Quinte Dance Centre, Vancouver Goh Ballet and Randolph Academy. Andrea completed all of her examinations through the Royal Academy of Dancing from childrens to majors and went on to successfully obtain her R.A.D Teaching Certificate after an intensive 3 year training programme.
