Dress Code for Classes
Adhering to our dress code helps ensure that all dancers can move safely and effectively while allowing instructors to assess form and technique better. Please review the specific attire required for each style of dance listed below. From leotards and tights for ballet to comfortable, loose clothing for hip-hop, make sure your dancer is prepared for every class. Lyrical
*hair should always be tied back properly
No crop tops in ballet please!
Whirl & Twirl Ballet & Jazz: Pink Body Suit, Pink Circle Skirt for ballet, black jazz shorts for jazz, pink tights and pink ballet slippers for ballet, beige slip-on jazz shoes for jazz. Sweaters will be needed for the winter months.
Mini - Senior Ballet: Bodysuit (any colour), skirts are optional, pale pink tights, black leggings, t-shirt, Split sole ballet slippers (leather or canvas Capezio Hanami preferred), hair in a bun
Mini - Senior: Bodysuit, shorts, leggings, tank tops, crop tops, tights, t-shirt. Split Sole Tan jazz slip-on shoe (Bloch Neofl ex preferred)
Hair Tied back neatly
Mini - Senior: Bodysuit, shorts, leggings, tank tops, crop tops, tights, t-shirt. Leather or canvas Pirouette (Sophia Lucia Turning Pointe preferred) Hair Tied back neatly
Tap
*hair should always be tied back properly
Mini - Senior: Bodysuit, tights, leggings, shorts, t-shirt, tank top, etc
Leather Oxford Jazz Tap shoe. Hair tied back neatly
Modern & Contemporary
*hair should always be tied back properly
Mini - Senior: Bodysuit, shorts, leggings, tank tops, crop tops, tights, t-shirt. Bare feet, Socks for Contemporary. Hair to be tied back neatly.
Hip Hop
*hair should always be tied back properly
Mini - Senior: Dancewear/Streetwear (NO JEANS) Clean white non marking running shoes for indoor use only. Elite Team needs White New Balance BB550
Acro
*hair should always be tied back properly
Mini - Senior: Bodysuit, shorts, crop tops, biketard, footless tights (no loose clothing) Bare feet. Hair tied back neatly (preferably in a low braid or bun)
